WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR importing MY MOVE?
- Passport, a copy of the front pages.
- Copy of Permanent Residence with no more than one year of issuance.
- Original Certificate of Repatriation and Repatriates Affidavit.
- Original OBL or AWB or CRT endorsed by the Paraguayan Consulate at origin for Immigrants and Returnees.
- Original Packing List, endorsed by the Paraguayan Consulate at origin for Immigrants and Returnees.
- Copy of Inmigration entry stamp to Paraguay for Immigrants and Returnees.
- Original Diplomatic franchise of Personal Effects, copy of Oficial Badge and copy of Tax exemted Card for Diplomats.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR CUSTOMS PROCEDURES UNTIL DELIVERY AT HOME?
From the date of arrival of the shipment and having received all the necessary documents, home delivery would take place between the second and third business day aprox. Unpacking could last one or two days depending on the volume of the shipment.
SHOULD I BE PRESENT WHEN THE SHIPMENT ARRIVES TO PARAGUAY?
Yes. Paraguayan Customs requires that shipment consignee is present at the port during physical verification. In addition, it is desirable that you are personally, or assign a trusted person to represent you at the time of receiving your move at home. If you are a diplomat or immigrant you must be at least 30 days before in Paraguay, to manage all required documentations.

HOW LONG IS THE INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE?
Normally international insurance companies offer coverage until the day of delivery to the destination address and a claim must be submitted within the 15 following days. If damaged items are received, these must be recorded on the appropriate delivery form, and be signed by the customer and the representative of Benkovics at the time of delivery. This damage verification is needed for filing insurance claims.

Repatriates do not pay taxes or Customs duties on removals of personal effects and used household, if they obtain the Certificate of Repatriation for Customs, but pay Port duties. The Repatriated can bring one utility vehicle with 3 years of use minimum, exempt of Customs taxes, but they pay the VAT, customs and port fees. The Secretary of Returnees and Refugees helps Paraguayans who wish to return: www.repatriados.gov.py There are detailed requirements for obtaining the certificate of return.

Immigrants pay taxes and duties on their moves for personal effects and used household goods, if they do not have their Permanent Resident Card issued by the Migration office. Immigrants pay taxes on their vehicle. I WANT TO MOVE ABROAD, HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST?

HOW THE VOLUME OF MY MOVE is CALCULATED?
The volume of the move is calculated by adding the cubic meter of all furniture and boxes to be moved corresponding to the length x width x height of each piece of furniture or moving box.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MOVING DAY?
It is recommended that a day before moving, unplug the computer, unplug electrical items, empty and defrost the refrigerator.
WHAT CAN NOT BE SENT inside an INTERNATIONAL MOVING?
You can not send food, alcoholic beverages, live plants, firearms, animals, dangerous and perishable goods in general.

HOW LONG it takes FOR MY MOVE to arrive at destination?
After packing is finished, one week in Paraguay prior to departure, for booking and customs clearance. Vessels sail weekly and booking depends on cargo prior reservations. The transit time fo Maritime shipments can take between 45 to 90 days to arrive depending on the destination port. Air and truck freight take between 2 to 8 days depending on country of destination. Finally, it takes on average one week for customs clearance and delivery at Destination, depending of the country.
